Don't Want to Trouble People, Taking to Roads For Rights: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that he does not want to trouble the people of Faisalabad. Government does not care for people, he said. He urged the people to come out on roads for their rights, Dunya News reported. He said that the PTI still stood firm on its demand about rigging probe. He demanded punishments for those responsible for rigging.
Holding a press conference at his Bani Gala residence on Sunday, Imran Khan said that he did not need anyone’s pressure as the public was with him. He said that the PTI was pressurizing the government for formation of judicial commission. “Government is afraid because it knows what happened in the elections”, he said. He added, “Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) had agreed upon judicial commission but retracted later”.
Responding to a question about the new Chief Election Commissioner, Imran Khan said that his party had no objections on the name of Justice Sardar Raza. “We have no objection on Sardar Raza. Only the provincial election commissioners should resign”, he said. He reiterated his stance on rigging in Election 2013 saying that all the parties had claimed that rigging was done in the elections. He said that punishing those responsible for rigging will ensure free and fair elections in future.
“Raising ‘go Nawaz go’ slogan is democratic right while beating the people raising this slogan is a crime”, said Chairman PTI. Three important Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders from South Punjab Sardar Said Uddin Khosa, Niaz Khan and Bahadur Khan Jhakkar joined PTI on this occasion. Imran Khan said that only the tickets will only be rewarded to the candidates who would fulfill the ideological criteria.
Vice Chairman PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on this occasion that the new entrants to PTI will be given equal rights in the party.
